Greetings everyone,
I am looking for some help identifying a set of items that were found recently at my place of employment - a university in Canada.
The items appear to be a set of lantern or lighting features.
They are inscribed with the words "Kontrollampe Seitenlat. St.B" and "U-157 1918" (though this appears to have been inscribed later).
We would love to know what they are, and eventually figure out how they got to our institution. I've read all I can find on U-157 - its service history, etc, but its a mystery how or why these pieces are now here in Canada.
Any help would be much appreciated!
