there is a problem with identifying this sub: the only KuK boat to operate in the Eastern Med was U-27 (Holub), which made a cruise in that sector from 22/6 to 26/9, but was moored in Beirut between 30/7-11/8, therefore could not have made this attack. It must have been a German sub but there is no mention of her identity in any of my references.
