I have been researchng the history of the above boat for a number of years now and i know many facts and figures about its war history. The records provide the official line what people at the time wanted to record. I wonder if anyone reading this could provide me with any detail however small about the boat or the crew that does not appear in the records? something a relative may have told them as a child or suchlike.
The u55 sunk a large amount of merchant vessels the crew of these vessels may have a story to tell, if so plz get in touch.
