Hi James,

She was Norwegian
In a celebrated incident, the FRITZØE (1909 - Skibs Aktieselskapet Fritzøe, Larvik) was captured at 55° 39’N 0° 57’W and taken back to Germany as a prize-of-war. The FRITZØE was on a voyage from Larvik to London, with timber; the ship’s voyage and destination was condemned by prize court and in 1918 she was renamed MUNIN by the Imperial Navy; it was then fitted out as a salvage vessel.

Cheers Ron
