Some details I forgot to mention:

Commander of STARMOUNT was LtCdr. A. M. Y. Dane, RN.

U 54's torpedo hit abreast the fore end of No. 1 hatch.

STARMOUNT was towed in by an tug, escorted by two trawlers to Kirkwall.
