<HTML>Hello, I would like to know the criteria necessary for a boat/crew to be credited with an operational war patrol[feindfart]. For example, if boat left on patrol and then had to return say for mechanical troubles after a few days, then resailed several days later, is this one patrol or would it be two? What if the resail was delayed a month? Also, how many patrols must a man have made before being assigned {permanently?] to a shore position?
