Can anyone tell me if the USS Bluegill could have had food, a perfectly good raft and some ships "papers" etc thrown into the sea 60 miles north of Brisbane Australia during WW2? I have an aunt who tells the story of finding the obovementioned articles on the beach north of Caloundra.
She and I would love to know why this would occur.
Regards, Leonie.
