Here's one for you all!
Whilst trawling through some old newspaper's came across this brief article.
Answers as usual, What is the U-boat that is mentioned? & who is the supposedly member of crew?
HITLER'S DEATH
"Went Down in U-boat" Message Found
Copenhagen - Tuesday - A bottle found today on the shore of a gulf south of Copenhagen, contained what purported to be a letter from a member of the crew of a sunken german submarine stating that Hitler didi not die in Berlin, but went down with the U-boat on its way from Finland to Spain.
The letter was signed Hans Reutenburger, believed to have been a member of the crew of a U-boat whose wreckage was discovered off the Danish coast in November 1945.
The bottle was washed ashore on the Gulf of Kjoege, almost 100 miles from the Gjedser Light, off which the wreckage of the U-boat was found. - Reuter.
Dated 27 November 1946.
At the same time I have also uncovered quite a few newspaper articles of the time of sightings of un-identified U-boats off the coast of South America, Brazil and Argentina after the war ended.
And its not U-977 or U-530?
Regards
Terry.
