1. U-Flottile in Wilhelmshaven? / Banterkaserne

For a small study on the Kasernen in Wilhelmshaven, the so called Banterkasernen, I would like to know the following;

In this book;

Die Stadt der 500,000: NS-Stadtplanung und Architektur in Wilhelmshaven

is mentioned that the first U-Flottille was stationed in Wilhelmshaven in 1935. In books and at this website and other websites I can only find that she was stationed in Kiel, before moving to Brest in 1941.

The same book mentions that the 3. Flottille also was stationed in WHV 1937.

Can anybody tell me more about this? Were the Flottilles only stationed for a short while in WHV, or is it an error in the book?

I also would like to ask if anybody has pictures of the Banterkaserne, also known as the former Scheerhafen.
