The U 995 is open year round. The type XXI is closed from 31 October to 4 April. So if your visit is after 4 April you should be OK. I just got back from there and checked this out myself. While there see if you can swing a visit to the U Boat Archives. Just contact them ahead of time to let them know that you would like a visit. Better yet if you can email me I can give you more information and if you can make you trip towards the end of May I can give you more information that can be of interest to yyou.
