U-1221, Schluter?

Is FKGfr Schluter of the U-1221 still alive, as ive checked crew list, and there is no date of demise? Could anyone shed light on this conundrum? Cheers Paul.I have recently purchased original photo.Boat sunk 3/4/45 by 8th USAAF, 7 dead, 11 survivors.
