EAST COAST U-BOAT WAR

HELLO. Anybody have a resource on the U-boat war off the East coast of the US? I have read, some time ago, about the significance the Grummann TBM Avenger aircraft played in that front, flying from "Jeep" carriers. I have lost that resource?? Thanks jb
