question about picture in ''U-boat im focus edition I''

Hi guy`s,

I have reading the magazine U-boat im focus part I and this realy great,
but when study the picuters something gaves my atention
on page 8,photo 9 you see the U-53 type VIIB with TWO ancors,
my question; Why is there a second ancor hanging on the right side????

I have seen these before on several U-boats on the docks.
