Hello there
My late father was a suvivor off the Beaconlight, he was Royal Navy gunner Able seaman James Lewis, the other Royal Navy gunner was Able seaman Reginald Waller, both were picked up and taken to Port Of Spain where they boarded the U S A T Algonquin and taken to Tampa. They joined their next ship the Parkhaven in New York on the 28/8/42
