Hi,
I'm trying to find out some info re a POW camp on the coast of County Down, Northern Ireland, approx 25 miles south east of Belfast on the coast in an area known as St John's Point. I can confirm there was definitely a POW camp there housing at least some U-Boat prisoners, having examined the area in detail and having been shown old photos of U-Boat personnel in uniform (also possibly a U Boat commander confirmed by a local resident), all photographed relaxing in the sun at a local viewpoint.
I can't find the name of the camp anywhere!
Can anyone shed any light on this? Northern Ireland camp listings are sketchy at best.
Thanks,
Johnny.
