I hope your forum can help me with a very strange request. I am taking a
math course and I'm writing an essay on how mathematicians approached the
U-Boat problem in the first and second World War. Can someone tell me how triangulation was used? Also, I'm found bits about the arc ships would plot to place themselves directly over the U-boats todrop depth charges. But the bits are pretty scattered. Where can I find more? Are there other instances? Any thoughts?
