We were asked the following trivia question at a team trivia game at a local bar:
In World War II, which of the following caused the greatest losses to the U-Boat?
A. Scuttling
B. Aircraft
C. Depth Charges
Our answer was "C." Depth Charges, using the logic that most U-Boats were sunk by surface ships using depth charges but that aircraft also used depth charges as a main weapon to attack U-Boats.
The moderator gave "B." Aircraft as the correct answer.
I realize that as stated this is a very ambiguous question, but what should the correct answer be given only the above choices?
Thanks,
Spider (Aviation buff but U-Boat "rookie")
