U-587 or U-94?

I always believed that U-94 sunk the Admiralty trawler HMT Northern Princess on the 8th March 1942. I also notice that many books also credit the U-boat. However this web site mentions U-587?
Can anyone explain why U-587 is credited with sinking HMT Northern Princess or back this up in any way?
Regards
Nick
