Erich Topp in the Allgemeine-SS

Hi

I am currently reading "Neither Sharks Nor Wolves" by Timothy Mulligan and it claims Erich Topp was in the Allgemeine-SS, albeit for a very short time.

Does anyone have details of which unit and his final rank??
