U-864 and Crew

Hello All,

By way of introduction, my name is Jerome Preisler and I am a professional author (Tom Clancy's Power Plays, All Hands Down, etc.) who is presently under contract with a major U.S. publisher for a history book that largely concerns the U-864. I am looking to gather as much information as possible about the submarine and, as importantly, her crewmen and their families. I want to get this story RIGHT and it is an understatement to say that whatever help/pointers/leads the members of this forum might provide would be more than welcome!
