Image of Commander of U-50

Hi

I'm new here but I thought I would mention that I think I have found an image of U-50 commander Max-Hermann Bauer

One of the image descriptions states it is U-50 states it at Wilhelmshaven on 2 march 1940 ...

uboat net lists them as returning to Kiel on 4th March

I presume this is another name for the same place, although I realise that the city of Kiel is some way from Wilhelmshaven - in which case the date discrepancy does not mean very much. I have noticed that the date on the bundesarchiv images is not necessarily the same as when they were taken. It would be handy to resolve it one way or the other.

These are a couple of good pictures of proud men - rather sad to think that their demise was so imminent.
