U-Boat Ammunition Stowage

I am currently building a detailed Type VIIC U-boat model based on the Revell 1/72 model and CMK interior section kits. Since CMK does not have kits for all the sections (Officer's Accomodation (forward of Control Room) and Electric Motor and Aft Torpedo Room, I am planning to create my own using the existing CMK kits. I am looking for information on the stowage of ammunition for the 88mm deck gun and the 20mm AA gun. I have seen photographs that show the 88mm ammunition in individual cylindrical cases (metal?) and show the 20mm ammunition in the magazines used by the gun. I would like to know: (1) how were the 88mm cases stowed in the boat's magazine - vertically or horizontally and if horizontally are they stowed fore and aft or athwartships? and (2) how were the 20mm magazines stowed - what kind of container(s) were they in and how were the container(s) stowed in the boat's magazine?
