During the last years of the KM, how did they continue to patrol boats when faced with the logistics constraints of fuel, food and maintenance? How would they even provision a boat after lets say March 1945? Factor in installing/maintaining radar and/or anti-radar or schnorkel, etc. I am impressed that a boat left for a real war patrol post winter of 1945. Any impressions of that part of U-boat ops?
