Where did they keep...?

Hey guys. I'm a writer who's looking for some color to add to a story set aboard a U-Boat.

Now, if only a couple of Officers had bunks/quarters that were theirs alone, and the rest of the crew was "hot-bunking" or sleeping anywhere they could find a quiet spot, then where/in what did the average Crewman keep what few clothes and/or personal items he owned? Where would a Matrosen keep his cigarettes or pipe & pouch? His spare underpants? His leather bad weather suit?

Did they all have seabags/duffel bags that they hung wherever they could find a spot? Where there lockers aboard?
