My wife's great uncle was in the Navy on several ships in WW2. We have been left quite a collection of photos.

One looks like a U-boat. It was actually two pictures that were taken together at the same time and a photo expert friend of mine spliced together.

I remember him talking about encountering a U-boat but the details are fuzzy - he has been gone for 10 years now.

Just wondering if anyone might know anything about this. If it is a Uboat, there is a number 3 and the second number is hard to make out.
