my late grandfather, William Girard Myers Cmd of Gato

Hello, I have just started to research my late grandfather, submarine commander William Girard Myers, and would like any information on him regarding his military career. We know that he survived the war and died in a plane crash returning to California, leaving a wife, Susan Glading and two boys, my father William and his brother Leigh. Any and all photos and information would be greatly appreciated. Whatever I gather I will be happy to share with your wonderful site and others. Thank you, Susan Howe
