Was there a seperate TDC setting for each tube?

<HTML>Could someone comfirm (feel free to elaberate as much as you want), that the German TDC had a seperate entry for each tube.
That is, tube 1 could be aimed seperately to tube 2, whereas the American TDC had 1 setting to all tubes.</HTML>
