Greetings,
I'm writing a book about brazilian participation in WWII, now researching about U-507: the U-boat that makes Brazil goes to war.
Some fonts gives the information that U-boat's commander (Harro Schacht) U-507 asked or permission to attack brazilian coastal ships in August 1942.
Other fonts (includind Döenitz Memoirs) gives the information that the commander receive orders to do it.
Which of the two sources is the most reliable?
Are there any king of a original document/register of u-507 actions?
