<HTML>Have been asked to investigate provenance/function of a pair of grey/black
marble mounted steel torpedo models - the rear propellors rotate and
the plinth has a black nameplate with the name \'Kiel\' on it. The model
trophies ? are about 9 inches long overall and 4 inches high . The steel
of the torpedo bodies is tarnished in a form suggesting that the whole
was lathe turned. The style is circa 1930s.
Has anyone a clue as to how these items originated and whether they
have any relation to U-Boat operations/training ?
