Spanish Tanker about 26 Dec 42

Does anyone have any information about a Spanish tanker either sunk or damaged on/about 26 December 1942 somewhere between Cape Finisterre and Vigo? The Spanish blamed the British, who denied, correctly, that it was them. The patrol report of the sub actually involved was edited to remove the attack, and I'm suspecting the 12/26/42 date mostly because there's a fairly pointless chart filling half a page on that date (easier to retype a single page than the entire report). I'm in the process of editing these reports for publication as part of our series of American patrol reports, so I'm trying to find out for sure what happened to the tanker.
