Merry X-mas to all members, I have a few questions, first translation please for 1) Laatste melding : gisteren U489 uit zicht na duik. 2) Verhinderen uitbraak geallieerde schepen uit Goteborg. Next concerning the loss of U857 and U879, the report of an attack by a USN blimp on 18.04.45. there is no mention in 'Blimps & U-boats' of this, any details other than a date?. Lastly the loss of U22 sailed 20.03.40 - lost ?27.03.40, U54 sailed 12.02.40 - lost ? 14.02.40 and U296 sailed 27.02.45 - lost ?12.03.45. If nothing was heard from any boats after sailing, how did the dates listed of each boat be estimated. John
