U-172's sinking of the Colombian schooner Resolute in June 1942?

Has anyone got any details about the sinking of the Colombian schooner Resolute by U-172 on 23 June 1942?

Six Colombian civilians, including a baby, died and reports by Colombian survivors at the time were therefore rather lurid. What was U-172's own version of events?
