All,
Merchant vessel Everleigh reported coming under surface attack by a uboat on the morning of 25 December 1940, position from Everleigh was 59-30N 17-20W. Looking at who was at sea for this day, two boats are likely candidates, U95 & U124.However there is no mention in the diaries for either boat of an attack on 25 December.
Would any of our colleagues versed in Italian submarines be able to verify if there was a boat in this vicinity/carried out the attack?
Kind regards,
Mark
