U26/HMS Derwent

Family research led to find details of the sinking of HMS Derwent on May 2 1917. My uncle Llewellyn Arnold was killed when the Derwent struck a marine mine just outside of LeHavre harbour, he was just 18 years old.
The mine was placed by U26 commanded by Matthias Graf Von Schmettow.
Now I am trying to find out if 1) the wreck of the Derwent is considered a war grave 2) if anyone knows of a commemorative event for the centenary of the sinking in 2017.
As sad as the death of my uncle is, I was equally as saddened to later learn that Matthias Graf Von Schmettow was killed 6 days later when his Uboat was rammed and depth charged in the Dover Straights.
I tried to research his name on Ancestry.com to find any living relatives I could contact but apparently I don't have an international plan.
In this centenary year of WW1 it might be a good thing to build some bridges.
