Interesting article on the Italian U-boat offensive in the western hemisphere

My friend Francesco Mattesini has published an interesting article in the last issue of the Bollettino d'Archivio published by the Ufficio Storico Della Marina Militare.

The article is in Italian but should not deter a determined reader as an online translator such as the one provided by google can assist you in understanding most of it. It is over 60 pages and full of interesting photographs. Mattesini is a prolific author but unfortunately his works have not been translated in English. This time the PDF format might help. We may have disagreed heatedly on the fate of submarines such as HMS URGE or HMS UPHOLDER but his writings can always be read with great interest.
