Civil Air Patrol (CAP) attacks against U Boat

I am seeking information on attacks by Civil Air Patrol aircraft against U boats

The Cap claimed to have executed some 57 attacks against U Boats, claiming damage to 17 and even sinking 1, possibly 2

I suspect these claims are exaggerated, nore in line of wishful thinking

Of the attacks, are any confirmed in U Boat records ? If so what are the dates and boats ?
