This UK ship owned by Bolton Steamship Co was torpedoed and sunk by U504 in the south of the Madagascar channel on 31st October 1942 on voyage New York to Karachi with "military stores".Lost with all hands - no survivors. She must have gone down very quickly in this normally warm slight sea area.
Any more details from U -Boat sources?? - did she blow up!and why no survivors? Any advise to my E -Mail address please.
regards
