These were not Italian bases, but the 23rd (Danzig) and 27th (Gotenhaven) Training Flottillas hosted training classes for Italian Officers (and ratings??) in Uboat operations and tactics. Do not know how long this was carried on in the war, but these training classes started in 1940. Only German training boats of the flottillas were used. Rgds, RB</HTML>
