U 181 left for operations in the South Atlantic and the Indian Ocean on 23/03/43. She arrived near Madagascar, Mauritius and Reunion during the summer, but not to the Far East. U 181 returned to Bourdeaux on October, the 14th. During this long patrol she was refuelled by the german supply ship Charlotte Schliemann on June, the 23rd., 600 miles S of Mauritius. I don´t have any notice about another refuelling during this patrol. It is possible, remember the radius of action of Type IX D2 : 23.700 sm. !!!
