<HTML>Hi Mike,

According to my sources, MV Hopecastle was sailing in a convoy when she was attacked and damaged by U-509 (Witte) on Oct 28, 1942. The Hopecastle was sunk some hours later by U-203 (Kottmann). The MV Tasmania was attacked and damaged on Oct. 30, 1942 by U-659 (Stock). She was sunk a couple of hours later by U-103 (Janssen).

I have something on U-103 and U-203 I can e-mail you but I have no photos of U-509 or U-659. You can however, find info on all of these boats on this site. Just key in their numbers in the “U-boat Finder” on the home page and follow the links.
