A couple of years ago I was browsing in an antiques / curio shop in Veliki Tarnovo Bulgaria , I saw what was alleged to be a genuine "U Boat " compass , It was in a small tin and had U 13 stamped on the lid , It was very poor-- Christmas Cracker-- quality , an obvious fake for several reasons , The fellow was asking £60 pounds for it ! , I just don't see how anyone would have been taken in by such a piece of crap . Oh well I guess a fool and his money , U 13 lays in about 90 feet of water South West of Lowestoft Suffolk UK , about 40 miles form where I am .
