<HTML>19th February 1943: A two-day U-boat attack on Convoy ONl16 in the North Atlantic ends with 15 allied ships sunk.

20th February 1944: The Admiralty announces an 11-day battle with U-boats in Straits of Gibraltar, during which three ships are sunk and several damaged.

24th February 1945: German U-boats sink 8 ships and 2 destroyers from a convoy bound for the Russian port of Murmansk.

25th February 1944: The Destroyer Mahratta is sunk by U-956. This is the only loss in the 43 ship and 19 escort Arctic convoy, JW57.
