Have you looked for U-616 info on uboat.net? If not, go to the home page and look for the box titled U-boat Finder on the left side of the page (you may have to scroll down to see it), enter 616, and click Go. That will take you to a page containing a brief summary of U-616’s history and related links. If you click on Siegfried Koitschka in the commanders section it will take you to a page on him complete with pictures and more links. There is even more information on U-616 in the member’s area, see the info under “The Conning Tower†at the bottom of the page on U-616.
