<HTML>Hi Dave,
The info Rainer cited is on the uboat.net Member’s area. It is also confirmed by “U-boat Operations of the Second World War†(Volume 2: Career Histories U511-UIT25) by Kenneth Wynn (ISBN 1-55750-862-3) and “Axis Submarine Successes of World War Twoâ€: German, Italian, and Japanese Submarine Successes, 1939-1945 by Jurgen Rohwer (ISBN: 1-55750-029-0).
Brandi commanded U-617 for 11 of the sinkings and U-967 for the sinking of the Fechteler. These are just the confirmed sinkings. He claimed others that were not confirmed.
You can also see his record by looking Brandi up on the home page. See The Men – All Commanders.
Why did you think these weren’t confirmed?
Regards,
Ken Dunn
