<HTML>Im sure Kris was just trying to be helpful. Capt. Lane is over from the US and surely wants to see as much of Germany as he can. A country full of history/kulture etc. When I was in Berlin I made a point of seeing the memorial to Oberst Claus Shenk Graf von Stauffenberg. He was a brave army officer and probably never ever saw a U-boat.
If I ever visit the US again I would like to see the U 505 but also things relating to the Native Americans, the Civil War etc. Who do You suggest I ask?
Would not the Geheim Staatz Polizei have paid some interest in any U-boat man if they thought they had reason to do so ? I can think of some U-boat commanders names that could have been of interest to them.
