<HTML>Volume II covers the following:
- Chapter 7 is about the Walter drive.
- Chapter 8 covers the problems of the U-boats starting in spring 1943, including the early part of the XXI and XXIII projects, the snorkel, radar detectors, etc.
- Chapter 9 is all about XXI and XXIII.
- Chapter 10 basically covers the production problems due to the air war, labor and materials shortages.
- Chapter 11 covers R+D in the last years and evaluation of the XXI and XXIII.
- Chapter 12 covers the various mini-U-boats.
- Chapter 13 covers the history of the U-boats in the new Bundesmarine 1955 - 1986.
As for how to get Volume II, I can not help. I bought mine together with Volume I in the bookstore of the technical museum in Speyer, Germany. You may want to try the publisher.
