<HTML>Without a picture I cannot be 100 % sure , but the badge you mention sounds like a MOTOR VEHICLE DRIVER\'S BADGE OF MERIT in bronze . The backing plate is zinc with several holes for the attaching prongs and there should be wool cloth between the badge and backing plate , most of the time this is missing . This is a very common badge .</HTML>
