U boat pennant

I have received an unsolicited e-mail from someone in Poland called Pawel offering me, and I quote:
"I have an original/genuine pennant from U 355 and I would like to sell it for the reasonable price."
U 355 was sunk, with all hands lost, in the Artic on 1 April 1944 so I suspect this is not as original as Pawel thinks or leads us to believe it is.
I can only presume that Pawel got my e-mail address from this forum so other members beware. I can let you have his e-mail address via private message if required.
