<HTML>The fascination with records did not restrict itself to Germany. In occupied Holland the Germans\' job of finding and imprisoning (and later murdering) of resistance fighters and jews was made a lot easier by the Dutch habit of meticulously (sp?) keeping records of names, adresses etc.

During the occupation a lot of archives were intently destroyed by resistance fighters in order to make the Germans\' manhunt more difficult.

Correct me if I\'m wrong, anyone, but I think of all the occupied countries, the Dutch jews were the most heavily affected of all, percentage-wise. A near total wipe-out.</HTML>
