I just purchased a complete Krigsmarine Sailors uniform (hat, shirt, trousers) and I am trying to get some info. The uniform is marked inside with “Kriegsmariner Lorient” and several numbers. The trousers have the name of the sailor “Alder” or “Aldei”. I don’t collect uniforms, but I was helping the vet when I made my purchase.
Anyway, I found that Lorient is in France and was the U-boat base for the Germans. Is there a way to find out names of U-boat crews stationed in Lorient?
